Brand Integration Packages

(and Glossary of Terms)

Brand Presence Package

  • Environmental and background Product Presence across 5 - 9 episodes per film (including early episodes)

  • Category Exclusivity within film (ie no competing products will be shown)

  • No spoken dialogue mentioning your brand

  • Single behind-the-scenes video with leads of film using your product on set, posted to their social media accounts

  • Rights to clips from film that include brand or product

Narrative Embed Package

  • Brand / product is a key plot point in the film

  • Brand helps solve an hero story plot point in the film, appearing across an 5 - 8 episode story arc

  • Several mentions of your brand / product by lead characters, as well as demonstration of functionality

  • Daily Behind-the-scenes-video with lead actors/actresses

  • Proprietary commercial edit with leads for use by brand

World Integration Package

  • Brand / Product is part of lead characters behavior or lifestyle

  • Lead character uses your product consistently as a part of their everyday routine/life, showing up in at least 6 - 12 episodes per film

  • Category Exclusivity within film (ie no competing products will be shown)

  • At least one Brand / product mention per film

  • Two-to-three behind-the-scenes video with leads of film using your product on set, posted to their social media accounts

  • Rights to clips from film that include brand or product

Category Ownership Package

  • Brand owns exclusive rights to product category presence across a slate of films (5 or more)

  • Can apply to Presence, World Integration, or Narrative Embed Packages

  • Category Exclusivity within films (ie no competing products will be shown)

  • PR release announcing partnership between brand and distributors

Glossary of Terms

  • Environmental and Background Product Presence: A brand’s product will be featured as part of the mise-en-scene of the film. While it won’t be mentioned explicitly, it will get appear in the background of scenes and potentially used as a prop.

  • Category Exclusivity: A brand or product will be the only one of that type to appear in the film as part of a product placement deal. For example, if CutCo knives negotiates for a brand presence package, then they will be the only branded knives to appear on screen in kitchen scenes.

  • Behind-The-Scenes Videos: A video shot with the star(s) of the film while on set where they are using or interacting with your product while talking about it. These lead actors/actresses will also post these videos to their social media accounts, providing an unfiltered promotion to their fanbase for your product / brand.

  • Rights to Clips from Film: Brand is allowed to post edited clips from the film, as well as to remix or re-edit how they see fit, to post to their own social media accounts or use in whatever advertising methods they see fit.

  • Brand Mention: Your brand or product name is said out loud in the film in the context of using the product by one of the lead actors or actresses.

  • Hero Story Plot Point: A problem in the plot of the film that is solved dramatically as part of one of the most important arcs in a film. For example, in a chef-based story, a special ingredient or set of ultra-high-end cookware may be the key to winning the final cooking battle that leads to a victorious ending for the hero.

  • Proprietary Commercial Edit: The brand will get a commercial-length edit that includes scenes from the film, as well as potential extra material, shot an edited as an advertisement for the product. This can be used however the brand sees fit.
